Eye Care Clinic

I was offered an extra detailed eye scan which I accepted. I have been coming to Boots Exeter for over a decade and always receive expert attention. This time there was no need to change my subscription and I was reassured that at my age so far there are no immediate worries.

Received a letter to book an appointment for an eye check. Cannot get in touch by phone or via their website. Don’t know how to download QR code . How many elderly are in the same situation as me.

My sister-in-law's first language isn't English. After being in an accident yesterday evening and having her frames bent, she found that other opticians in the city center weren't willing to help her. The helpful ones in the end were Murrays. The woman I talked to on the phone was fabulous. What kind, caring and professional staff. Twenty out of ten, so thankful!!

Drove 40 minutes to take my daughter to her 10.25am appointment and whilst I was standing, registering myself at reception, my phone rang…. It was another member of staff in the same shop, telling me that my appointment had been cancelled due to staff illness. How inconsiderate and unprofessional. Thank goodness I wasn’t an elderly person who had paid for a taxi - there was no real apology and total lack of empathy. I won’t be coming back.

Really enjoyed my time at Optical Express and was made extremely welcome and at ease. I feel more informed and involved in my eye health than I have before. Love the I-scan data you receive afterwards. Terrific support to find frames that really suited me too, ones I would never have ordinarily selected to try on myself.

Due to my high prescription, I found that my glasses and/or contact lenses just were seemingly just not ideal for me any more. Also, with having the first signs of cataracts developing too, I decided to take my optician's recommendation to have a chat with Mr Nguyen. Mr Nguyen is a very likeable man who chatted with me about my ideas of what I hoped for after lens replacement surgery. Of course, I had apprehensions about this decision, but Mr Nguyen listened to me and we discussed what would be the likely outcome of the surgery. He certainly put my mind at ease.I opted for lenses which would give me the best distance vision, and was happy to accept that I'd still need reading glasses for close up work. This was my personal choice.The procedure was as explained, and Mr Nguyen talked me through the operation as it was happening which I found reassuring and helpful. There was no pain or even discomfort during the procedure for me and any worries I had about the operation were certainly not warranted.I had both of my eyes done on the same day, and had to wear clear eye-shields until the next morning, and then only at bedtime for a week. Eyedrops were given to me to use (along with a concise sheet of paper indicating the times of day to use them). I have worn contact lenses for 50 years and to finally see as well as with them, but without them, was really fantastic. Mr Nguyen is a man who I can recommend so very highly and I'm so happy, not only in choosing Mr Nguyen for the procedure, but also with the results too! Everything was first class from start to finish and if you're thinking of having eye surgery, then my experience with him is the reason I can recommend that you talk to him too!

Went to Specsavers to get new glasses and sunglasses for big holiday coming up. Was helped to choose, given all information and treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. I am delighted with my new glasses.

Had a very thorough eye examination. Friendly staff. I'vev not chosen new glasses yet but will soon.
